Northern Sonoma County
In just a few weeks, over 100 wineries will participate in Wine Road Northern Sonoma County’s annual barrel tasting, including wines from Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander valleys. The barrel tasting will allow attendees to sample young, unfinished wines with the option to purchase discounted cases (“futures” will be received 12 – 18 months later) and meet the winemakers.
The event takes place March 2 – 4 and March 9 – 11 from 11 AM – 4 PM. Tickets (good for the entire weekend) can be purchased online until February 27 for $30, or for $40 at participating wineries.
January 14 and 15
The “Winter Wineland” event from Wine Road is a celebration of wine, art, and education. On January 14 to January 15, 2012, from 11 AM to 4 PM each day, discover new wines from over 140 wineries, meet artists, and learn about vineyard practices throughout the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys. Advanced tickets cost $45 + tax for Saturday and Sunday, $35 + tax for Sunday only, and $5 + tax for designated drivers. Door tickets are $10 extra excluding designated drivers, which are still $5.
