21 Amendment's 'Big Can Draft Series' packs a punch

Kegs full o' Lower DeBoom

San Francisco‘s 21st Amendment Brewery is starting the “Big Can Draft Series” as a part of its periodic release of small batch, draft-only brews. 21st Amendment and Magnolia fight the drizzle, presenting 'Strong Beer Month'

Featuring 12 beers over 8% ABV

February 1 marks the start of the 11th Annual ‘Strong Beer Month’, presented by 21st Amendment Brewery and Magnolia Pub and Brewery. The concept is simple: serve strong beers. A ticket stub to the month long event will list all twelves beers – as you move between the two pubs, your ticket will be marked according to the beers you’ve already had. Each brewery has produced six strong beers with 21st Amendment boasting six beers over 8.5% ABV. A commemorative glass will be given away as a free gift after the completion of all 12 beers (not all at the same time, of course). Read More

21st Amendment now brewing their seasonal 'Bitter American' year-round

Just days after it was named “Top 10 Beers of 2011” by the Washington Post, 21st Amendment is bringing back Bitter American and offering it all year. “People were “Bitter” when we ran out last year. Yep I said it, Bitter!,” said 21st Amendment Brewery co-founder, Nico Freccia.

Here's what Brewmaster Shaun says about the beer, “when we first brewed this beer it really scratched the lower-alcohol-session-beer-itch that I would get when I was tired of drinking barley wines, imperial stouts and other stronger hoppy beers. I wanted and I think a lot of good beer drinkers want a session beer where you can enjoy a few pints of a beer with huge flavor but without all the alcohol. Bitter American is a mere 4.4% ABV. It's got all the flavor and you can keep moving.”
