Cochon 555’s 4th annual event comes to Napa

Culinary competition and tasting event celebrates heritage breed pigs

The traveling culinary competition, Cochon 555, features five chefs, five pigs, and five winemakers. This year’s event will be stopping at Napa on January 29, 2012 at 5 PM. The evening will include whole heritage pigs; butcher demonstrations, an interactive tasting contest with Le Creuset, ice-cold Anchor Brew and a new C555 Perfect Manhattan Bar and cocktails from Chinaco Tequila and The King’s Ginger. The “Winter Wineland” event from Wine Road is a celebration of wine, art, and education. On January 14 to January 15, 2012, from 11 AM to 4 PM each day, discover new wines from over 140 wineries, meet artists, and learn about vineyard practices throughout the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys. Advanced tickets cost $45 + tax for Saturday and Sunday, $35 + tax for Sunday only, and $5 + tax for designated drivers. Door tickets are $10 extra excluding designated drivers, which are still $5.
